Dear Hayashi-san,
Thank you for your message. I was so very happy to receive such great news. Congratulations! It is really wonderful that you will be working in Peru as a JOCV. It is definitely a great opportunity to not only live in a developing country but to experience work there and to contribute to the well being of children and people. I was so happy when I read your message.
As you say, everything could be a worthwhile experience, and I am sure that working in a private sector company in Japan was a good learning experience. You will now move to the next stage of your life where you will experience something completely different. It should be a great opportunity, and you should learn as much as possible from that experience while you also contribute as much as possible. There will be rewarding moments as well as moments of difficulties, I am sure, as any other work. Do not be discouraged by those low moments if you experience them. They are actually great opportunities for you to think and grow. The experience as JOCV should then open up opportunities for your next step in life.
Congratulations again! Please keep me informed of how you are and how things go. Please feel free to contact me any time.
Please also say hello to the other Ferris people if you have a chance to contact them. I miss you and them all!
Wishing you a great assignment and lots of success and happiness!!!
